Leigh Wicclair is the Executive Director of NC LEAF (the NC Legal Education Assistance Foundation).

Prior to joining NC LEAF, Leigh spent five years as a Senior Staff Attorney and Restorative Justice Program Director at the North Carolina Pro Bono Resource Center, a program of the North Carolina Supreme Court’s Equal Access to Justice Commission.

Leigh has also worked as a public defender in Philadelphia, worked for Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity, an organization committed to assisting people whose criminal records are holding them back from achieving their potential, and clerked for the PA First Judicial District Court of Common Pleas.

Leigh was born in Asheville, NC, raised in Lewisville, NC and is a proud double Tar Heel. She is a certified mindfulness meditation teacher and enjoys spending time with her family, running, and playing soccer.
